Celebrating 5 Years at Seaside

Join us November 14th from 10-5 for our anniversary celebration! We are planning some exciting things in store (pun intended) for all of our Seaside family that has grown exponentially over the past 5 years.

What does Seaside look like after 5 years?
A beautiful, warm and inviting destination with a story behind every gift in the shop.

5 years ago, owner Kathy Shaw had a vision to bring the feel of an open air market to a one stop shop. Bringing this vision to life also meant bringing local business women and artists together to ignite something special. Each member in the Seaside collective has a unique story that contributes to their craft. Some of the collective members include business owners have that benefited from sharing brick and mortar space, others have had dreams of artistically expanding their craft from a hobby to business.

Former member Jane Gibbs (Bluegrass Baby) says, “Seaside has always been a special gem to me. The one place you love to stop in just to see what is new, even if you don’t need a thing. You are sure to find the most fabulous gifts for everyone including yourself. Seaside’s staff quickly becomes like family with their warmth and love of what they do.”

Seaside now consists of over 30 local businesses and artists that all flow seamlessly in the shop. This includes curated and handmade goods for home, women, men, and baby, beauty products, jewelry, greeting cards, etc.

It’s hard to miss the beautiful potted greenery throughout the space by Laurie Patterson, LP Greenworks says, “It has always been important to me to support local businesses and that is how I discovered Seaside Gallery and Goods. I feel so fortunate that I get to be part of such a creative coop. The vendors are all so talented and inspiring and also lots of fun. It truly is a wonderful place to be.”

Our newest member Kimberly Barbato is excited to bring her unique French Goods to the shop, “The store itself is gorgeous, and Kathy and all of the business owners in this collective are amazing, inspiring, and just really cool people. It’s a beautiful and very supportive environment.”

Each member of the Seaside collective helps keep the shop running by contributing to an overall task by maintaining supplies, merchandising, marketing, social media, event coordinating, etc. In addition, we all work behind the counter 2 days/month. So the next time you come visit, make sure to say hi and ask us to tell you the story behind our products.

See you all soon!
